It all begins with an idea. A friend commented on a desk I built recently that he would like one for his daughter. While the custom desks ICWW builds are very complex, take weeks to build and are very expensive, I thought there must be a way to make a desk that is simple to make, take days to build and inexpensive. This began the Donation Desk program. With every project I have built I always have leftover lumber. It is just the nature of the process. All of this wood is perfectly good and is either too small for the project or was leftover for whatever reason. This extra wood just piles up and piles up. I usually let it all pile up until it becomes overwhelming and I throw it all away or burn it in the fireplace.
